Safety Guidelines

Flaito is built around safe, trusted travel. These guidelines explain how we keep the community safe and what you should know before using the platform.

Your safety is your responsibility. Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, cancel or block the user.

To use Flaito, you must:

• •Be at least 18 years old and verify your age
• •Complete your profile with accurate information
• •Acknowledge these safety guidelines before using the platform

We strongly recommend using a profile photo so other users can identify you. Completed, verified profiles are more trustworthy.

Before you ride:

• •Confirm details: Ask your match about their flight number, airline, terminal, and luggage type
• •Meet only in public areas: Always meet inside the airport, at check-in, gate areas, or ride-share zones
• •Never share your address or real-time home location: Trip coordination should happen only via Flaito
• •Tell a trusted person: Share your match's profile details, flight info, and estimated arrival time with a friend or family member
• •Trust your instincts: If you feel uncomfortable, cancel the match without explanation

We recommend using native apps (Google Maps, Apple Find My, WhatsApp) to share your live location during the ride with a trusted contact — never with your match.

When chatting:

• •Keep conversations on the platform: Use Flaito chat, not personal phone numbers or social media
• •Don't share sensitive information: Never send addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or passport information
• •Report suspicious messages: Use the "Report message" button for harassment, threats, or inappropriate content
• •Block abusive users: Immediately block anyone who makes you uncomfortable
• •Be sceptical: Scammers may try to move conversation off-platform or request payment

Messages are retained for 90 days after match acceptance for dispute resolution, then permanently deleted.

You can cancel a match at any time, for any reason, without explanation or penalty. Simply tap "Cancel match" in the app.

If a match feels uncomfortable or unsafe:

• •Cancel immediately
• •Block the user
• •Report safety concerns through the app

Never feel obligated to ride with someone who makes you uncomfortable.

If you experience or witness:

• •Harassment or threats
• •Inappropriate or discriminatory behaviour
• •Fraudulent activity or scams
• •Safety violations
• •Any behaviour that violates these guidelines

Report it immediately through the app. Provide as much detail as possible. Our team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action, including account suspension or termination.

We may suspend accounts for:

• •Multiple safety reports (from other users)
• •Negative ratings (3+ "not satisfied" ratings)
• •Violating these guidelines
• •Engaging in fraudulent or harmful behaviour

Suspension is permanent. Suspended users cannot access the platform.

If your account is suspended and you believe it's a mistake:

• •Send an email to hello@flaito.io with:
• ◦Your registered email address
• ◦The date you were suspended
• ◦A detailed explanation of why you believe the suspension is incorrect

We aim to respond within 30 days. Manual review only — no automated appeals.

If you're experiencing abuse or safety concerns:

• •Trust your instincts: If something feels wrong, remove yourself from the situation
• •Contact local authorities: For serious crimes or threats, contact the police
